How Can I help You?
As a healer and teacher for over two decades, I have known for years that caring for myself was important. After facing and beating cancer, I discovered that it is not only important, caring for yourself is the key to everything. I learned how to take care of myself to beat cancer. I also knew intuitively that it went deeper than that. It wasn’t just the act of prioritizing myself first that helped me emerge from that ordeal in one piece. It was what this decision told me about myself.
Mindful, strategic self-care is the key to creating whatever matters most to you in your life.
What I have learned in the years since that experience is that developing the skill of self care is translatable to every other aspect of your life. For me, developing that self-care muscle meant restoring my faith in myself, backing up my belief in my own value with actions. This impacted every area of my life.
Do you want to feel more in charge of your life? Embrace self-care as a way of life and it will happen. Do you want more money? Yes, care for yourself. Do you want to have faith in your ability to create whatever you want in your life? It starts with building your integrity with yourself, affirming your value to yourself and the people you serve in your life with action.
If you are struggling with figuring out how to care for yourself while being responsible to others, I can help. If there is something you are stuck on, something you know would make a huge difference to yourself and others if you would do it, but you’re just not doing it, I’m ready to help. I have helped a lot of people get un-stuck, including myself.
Do you want to take care of yourself but you don’t know where to start?
Do you think that taking care of yourself is selfish?
Are you quite certain that there is not enough time?
Are you frustrated with telling yourself over and over that you’re going to do it and watching yourself not do it, again?
My solution is to turn your concept of self-care around completely, and make doing it a joyful, exhilarating experience.
Here’s a text I received from one of my clients, a healer by profession:
“I’m happy happy happy! My client just did a wonderful session and she’s getting breakthroughs all over the place and I did 35 minutes of Pilates after our wonderful session. Thank you thank you thank you!”
If you tell others to care for themselves while you struggle to do it, you are not alone. This is the dilemma so many people in the helping professions face. Mastering the art of effective self-care will leverage every aspect of your life and your business, and give you confidence in yourself and your work that you never dreamed possible.

I also have other ways to help you create the health and energy to be fully present in the world, doing what you are here to do. Having the experience of vibrant energy and health in body, mind and spirit makes everything else possible. Tend to your own well being first, and all else follows.
I offer energetic and neuromuscular therapy, both hands on and hands off. If you are in the San Francisco Bay area on the South Peninsula, I am available for massage therapy and healing sessions in person. My work is structural and integrative, with the intention to bring balance to the soft tissue and energy system. This results in decreased pain, increased energy and function, and a body/mind that is resistant to the effects of stress. I am happy working with clients at all levels of health.

Healing Practice Career Mentoring:
I have built a practice from zero in five different locations, including the Island of Malta. My former partner and I introduced sports massage and onsite massage to the island, and built a thriving massage therapy business before selling it and returning to the United States. If you are struggling to get your practice off the ground, or are frustrated by an erratic or exhausting practice, I can help you build a sustainable and profitable healing career. Whether you work at a facility or have your own business, I can help you get and keep clients.
I built my first massage practice while I was still in massage school. The week I graduated, I had 12 clients booked. That was 23 years ago, in San Francisco. I had lived there less than six months. I subsequently built a practice from scratch in Berkeley, Oakland, Malta, and the San Francisco Bay South Peninsula. I occasionally had jobs that furthered my career and experience. Ultimately I always returned to my own practice.
After facing cancer in 2007, I took some down time to explore what was fun to do, since I refuse to do anything for a living that isn’t fun. I took some time to recover, and started working once a week providing massage therapy to inpatients at a children’s hospital. As I got strong and well, it was time to prosper again. So,
I built a practice. Again.
I didn’t even have to think about it. It wasn’t until I talked with some other MT’s about it that I realized what a feat that is. So, I have dissected what it is that I do when I decide to build a practice, and am making this information available to Massage Therapists and other hands-on healers who want to take the struggle out of their work and do the thing that they got so excited about when they learned their skills.
